Groovemaster formally known as Ricochet first got involved with Dance music when he started going out to raves back in the late 1980s. He used to go partying at the weekend and hear all this new innovative dance music from the like of Carl Cox, Grooverider, Trevor Fung etc, then go out and buy the vinyl. In the beginning he learnt how to beat match from with 2 belt driven decks with no pitch control connected to a 2-channel mixer and it was only a matter of time before he graduated to a brand new set of Technics SL1200?s. After spending nearly 6 month perfecting how to mix how in the bedroom and playing out at free warehouse parties Groovemaster became a firm favorite among free partygoers and it wasn’t long before he was sharing the stage with some of the a list DJs he had been raving to.
