Brief Experience :
Cristian Albu was born on October 7th, 1977 in Arad, a city located in the West of Romania. Since he was a child, he used to play with cassette recorders, record players, cassettes and records. By that time, he was listening to Boney-M, Abba, Santana, The Rolling Stones, whatever was in fashion at the moment. When he was about 10 or 11 years old, he began to sort of developing an affinity for the heavy-metal, which lasted for about 8 or 9 years. When he was about 20-21 years old he began listening to electronic music, which was in fashion at that time. Going through most of the musical genres, especially the extreme ones (like heavy-metal), he stopped at another extreme: progressive house. Unlike others djs, he started this experience later, without having previously attended any music classes or having sung. The year 2002 marked his debut as a dj when he bought 2 record players and a mixer to try this experience at home. Being keener and keener on record players, mixer, buttons and music, after 3 months, he began to mix in several clubs in Arad and Timisoara. Having some hold, he was asked to become the Blush Events resident dj. Shortly afterwards, a lot of parties were organized under the name of Blush@ and Burn energy drink. His concept began to be listened to more and more in the Western part of the country and not only. That summer, the well- known WSE (Water and Sand Experience) party followed, located on the Ghioroc beach near the city of Arad. It was a hit; so, in spite of his modest experience, a few months actually, he was asked to mix alongside famous djs, such as: Kool (RO), Snoopy & Peet (Eclectica-HU), Dusan (HU), Patt Duff (HU), Vali Barbulescu (RO). The truth is that I felt kind of intimidated in front of so many people, this being the first big party for me as a dj, Chriss White (as his friends call him) later confessed. His talent and creativity were appreciated by the crowds, so, one month later, he began to receive invitations to mix in famous clubs, such as: Evolution (TM), No Name (TM), Shaddows (AR), Shaddows (TM), Capuccino (AR), BluGin (BM), Bianco e Nero (CJ), mostly in the West of the country, continuing until the spring of 2003, when he was invited to mix alongside Marcus James (Renaissance UK) at two parties, one in the Ramses Club (TM) and the other at WSE July session, the second session following one month later, WSE august session, where he mixed alongside John Graham-Quivver (UK). The popularity of his style brought other offers, so, that year, he also mixed with Dusan (HU), Snoopy (Eclectica-HU), Patt Duff (HU), Kool (RO), Vali Barbulescu (RO), Giorgio Jr (RO) and many others, at a variety of parties located in Romania. Beginning to mix alongside world famous djs, the years 2004 and 2005 proved to be a little more promising; he was offered to mix with Anthony Pappa (UK), Chris Gainer (Sumsonic UK), Marc OBrian (Sumsonic UK), Hybrid (UK), Pete Gooding (Caf Mambo Ibiza), offers that he accepted. After so many successful parties and a growing success in this short period of time, he thought of opening his own club in Arad , which he named Mandrin Club, but it had to be shut down after no more that 4 and a half months, because it was competed by two very big clubs. Having no other choice, he decided to shut down the club saying that in life one must also learn how to lose. Without having very much experience considering the few years he had performed, he began teaching others what dj-ing was all about. As he had learnt very fast himself, he was able to explain pretty clearly to others what had to be done in order to mix right/ to come out with a good mix. Shortly afterwards, i.e. after about 8-9 months of school, one of his apprentices became a resident dj in a club. In the summer of 2004 he went to the seaside, where he visited the Kudos Beach and mixed alongside Marco Brigulia and Dusan.As another recognition of his success on the local market, in the spring of 2005 he was offered residentship by 2 successful clubs in his city, namely Renaissance Club and Nefertiti (Renaissance summer club), the latter located on the beach of Arad. He has been a resident here for one year, alongside Giorgio jr and Nanook. Chriss White is one of the few Romanian djs who chose to stick to the same music genre, i.e. deep, tech, tribal and progressive, without any intention of changing it. His talent, creativity, ambition, dedication and a strong inclination towards music took Chriss White next to some of the famous djs of the moment. He has managed to achieve such a rich experience in a pretty short period of time and he has still got much to say in this area of the music industry.
