Brief Experience :
Everything happened towards the end of 2002 when a track from an unknown Portuguese band hit the dancefloors worldwide. The track was a remix to Metallicas 'Seek and Destroy' and the band Paranormal Attack. The band made up of Xangaii on vocals, guitar and synths and ,at that time, Jaime Ventura ,who gave his place in the synths to Gonalo Miranda(now in the band),started out trying to make their way through the modern electronic music scene. The band worked hard to get in the limelight and nothing was left to chance as their intention was to win over the hearts of the worlds dancers. In the end of 2005,Paranormal Attack release their debut album 'Phenomenon' All the tracks on 'Phenomenon' were written and produced by Xangaii who at the time showed a strong musical maturity with the mix of his melancholic, hard, rock, pop and classical influences. The album was released by Chemical Crew Records based in Tel Aviv, Israel. . 'Phenomenon' was responsible for the huge buzz created across the electronic scene in 2006. The tracks 'Be with you' and 'Wild' made a huge success around the globe. In 2006 the band also supported the movie 'O Magnata' written by Choro from the famous Brazilian band Charlie Borwn Jr. They co-produced a track called 'Vao Fazer De Novo' for one of the movie scenes. In the same year Xangaii is invited to take care of the synths and electronic parts in Wonderlands new album, a Portuguese high level band from his friend Vasco Boucinha (the singer on the track 'wild'). In October, 2006, the band started to shoot their tour Dvd in a big rainy, but amazing tour around Brazil. To finish the year off Xangaii also supported Skazis Live Concert playing guitar and synths at Xxxperience Special Edition (Sao Paulo,Brazil) for around 30 000 music lovers. This show had for guests also Igor Cavalera (Sepulturas Drummer) and the Israeli Mc Big Fish. In March of 2007 while Paranormal Attack is performing all over the globe and working on the second album 'Walking in the Sun' the band is invited to be one of the headliners for the huge festivals in Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Belo Horizonte called Chemical Music. 'We have never seen something like this' says Xangaii amazed with the tour. 'we always worked so hard for this and now we had it'.......... After that tour Paranormal Attack were back to the studio to keep on working on the album and also to do some co-productions with artists like Skazi,Eskimo and the remix to the German band Limbogott. Struggle is the name of the Limbogotts track remixed by Xangaii, track that will be inside 'Walking in the Sun'. The end of 2007 was the time chosen by Paranormal Attack to present the second album, 'Walking in the Sun', what they had been up to during the months locked away in the studio. To follow up on the success of their debut album 'Phenomenon' is always going to be difficult but the second album will affirm that the Paranormal Attack is here to stay. Proof of this can be seen by the success of their Single 'Walking in the Sun' which is a track well suited to the band style of being mellancholic, intense and captive. Is one of those tracks that you already sing and dance to on its second play. Simplicity at its best.
