Brief Experience :
Manuel Sahagun started in 1998 experimenting with his computer and exploring DJing as a hobby, playing around with sounds that go from house to techno. Influenced by artists like DJ Dan, Derrick Carter and DJ Sneak, he acquired a taste for funky house. In 2001 Manuel formed Banshee Team and began having his own events at a small local club, Electra. The team went on to having several other gigs around Buenos Aires including special events. Later that year, the team had started to lead a residency at Superclub (@ Buenos Aires News). Concurrently, Manuel was playing at the weekly afterhour Wicked. Over time the members of Banshee parted ways to pursue their personal careers. Manuel gained for the first time the opportunity to play his music independently. Several gigs included clubs and radios like Metrodance FM, an all electronica radio station in which he competed in Heineken’s Thrist contest (2002). Sahagun was selected in the top 10. At the end of 2003, Manuel begins residency in what is known as the leading club in Argentina for electronica world class acts: Clubland (Saturdays @ Pacha) where he shares booth with renowned djs. A highlight of his early residency was participating in Pacha Outdoors where Manuel played a warm up session for the Chemical Brothers in front of 15,000 people. Participated in Festival BUE (Buenos Aires Urbano Electronico) where 10,000 gathered to see Massive Attack. There, he shared booth with FC Kahuna and D+D, amongst others. Closing 2004, Sahagun played at Personal Fest that had an attendance of 25,000 and participants such as Pet Shop Boys, Primal Scream, Blondie, P.J. Harvey, Morrisey, and others. Between 2004 and 2005, he hosted a radio show on FM X4, another all-electronica radio. Today, Manuel travels playing several events all around his country and Latin America.
