Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Cryptik's introduction to electronic music took place at the infamous 611 parties in Philadelphia at the tail end of the 90's. Following a move to Hawaii in 2000, he discovered a small but passionate scene with amazing local talent. Later on that year, he purchased a set of used turntables and secured his first gig, playing a mixture of house and trance at the now defunct Evolutions Waikiki.
