Brief Experience :
His real name is Joel, his alias's are Dj Aphek & Yakoozai. Yakoozai was born on Feb.1st of 1984 and now resides in South Carolina. He was born in Northern VA which is where he grew up most of his life. Everything he is, he believes is because of where he was raised and says 'I wouldn't have it any other way'. He developed a love for music at a young age listening to his Mom's and Aunt's music which was mainly 80's disco pop, classic rock coming from mostly his father. As he grew older and started doing things like skateboarding he got introduced to Rap. Then he started hearing electronica when he was about 14 and went to 'BUZZ' in D.C. He got really turned on to Trance/House. He started playing as a DJ in the christmas of 1997 after going to alot of raves at 'BUZZ' & 'EDGE' which were side by side, about ten years now he has been spinning. He started producing shortly after he realized the Dj was not making the music while he is playing he is just playing a record, a record he might have made. Now he lives in Summerville SC right next to Charleston, cause N.VA got over populated. Since the move in 2005 he has worked with Shea Vaughn producing the album for her workout video 'Shea Netics' which is a three dvd set. He has produced radio commercials and tv commercial soundtracks for Brooke Faville for her Company 'Wondrous Products' and done alot of graphic work for her as well. He has done alot of recording and producing work for Andi Afsar the owner of Radial. He has spun with the likes of AK1200, and play regular gigs at Halligans and Buffalo South. He has done alot of graphic design for flyers all over SC as well as producing and spinning daily.
