Brief Experience :
It all started in 1994. Nic-E went to his first party in the Calgary scene called House of Unity. There was just something special about that guy up stage behind the decks. The way he could make the people dance and the music he played called House. Over the next few years listening to Calgary locals Mel Reyes and Jon Delerious, Nic-E's love for House music became stronger and he started collecting his own vinyl, buying records from the local shop called the Attic. Then in early 1997 he bought his first set of decks and a mixer. Still un-sure off what style of House Nic-E was looking for, it wasn't un till he went to the Night Gallery for the first time on a Sunday night. Sunday Skool with DJ Rice, there was nothing like it. Walking up the stairs then to left, a packed house. A room full of all kinds of people, disco balls every where with different coloured spot lights shining off of them, filling the room. All kinds of pictures and posters covering the walls. Crazy movies being projected on to a screen behind Rice up on stage and House like Nic-E had never heard before. Deep, Soulful, Funky beats. This was it for Nic-E, the sound he had been looking for and House that felt right.
