Brief Experience :
DJing became a part of my life almost by accident. When I was a boy I automatically matched songs that complimented each other or thought of ways to change the music to make it sound more dramatic and exciting. In the back of mind I thought that I might like to try DJing if the opportunity presented itself someday. I never really gave it serious thought, yet years later in college, I found myself fooling around with a simulated turntable program mixing mp3s on my computer. I picked a few tunes, figured out how they fit together, and started mixing. One night a friend walked by my apartment door while I was in the middle of a mix. Surprised to see me concentrating rather hard at the computer he asked, 'Was that you?!? That sounded really good!' I was excited to think that this could be something I could really enjoy and be good at. It didn't take long before I had acquired my first set of turntables, a mixer, and maxed-out credit card, with places like Juno Records, Above the Sky Records, Satellite and Alien Records filling my statement. Within a few months DJing became a reality for me. It is now an important part of my life that gives me an opportunity to contribute in a positive way to the night life by doing something I really enjoy.
