Brief Experience :
Lee Newton was first exposed to electronic music sometime in the late eighties when he first heard a mixed tape of break beats from his cousin in Ft. Lauderdale FL. He was completely blown away by hearing music like this. Especially considering that he lived in the relatively small town of LaGrange, Ga, which got no exposure to this type of music. After being exposed to breaks, Lee had a major shift in musical tastes. He would later expand his knowledge and appreciation of the music for several years by being exposed to the likes of: Orbital, Plastik man, DJ Trance, John Kelly, Ron D Core, Thomas Micheal, Christopher Lawrence, Sasha and Digweed, DJ Dan and many other great artists. By this time, Lee was a freshman in college as an art major. He continued on for several years in school but, as time went on, he began to find that he appreciated electronic music far more than the art and artists that he was being exposed to. Then in 1994, Lee was first introduced to the production of electronic music when he heard the sounds of the Quasimidi Raveolution 309 at a music store in Atlanta, Ga. One year after acquiring the 309, Lee Newton and fellow artist LoOtinant Dan joined with DJ Phat Perv and started a live PA act know as HouseQuake. Lee Newton, LoOtinant Dan and DJ Phat Perv (Housequake) then played various venues in the Southeast between 1996-1999. Sometime in 1996, Lee acquired a set of Vestax turntables that would eventually take his creativity down a different path. Since then, Lee has paid his dues by playing at various clubs, house parties, warehouses, block parties, mountaintops and many other unusual places to numerous and some to bizarre to mention. To this day, Lee consistently moves forward with a tell it like it is attitude and a complete lack of disregard for the politically correct. This proving, you do not have to be fake to be successful, just patient.
