Brief Experience :
One of the pioneers of Nu Skool Breaks in the Midwest, DJ Drumaddic has helped the breakbeat scene thrive through his legendary sets, featuring a unique blend of Nu Skool and Electro breaks alongside his aggressive turntablist skills. A veteran of the scene, drumaddic quickly moved up through the ranks of local DJs in and established himself as one of the most exciting breakbeat DJs to hear in the Midwest. In 2000, he took over Element Records, a local record store in his hometown. Within a year, he built up and relocated the store, renaming it 'Subkulture'. The store now has the best selection of electronic music in the region, as well as being an authorized dealer for many clothing lines (Tribal, 555 soul, Chrome Bags, etc.), and a key store for Yoshitoshi Recordings. DJ Drumaddic strives to constantly improve his skills as a DJ and a record store owner, while trying his best to educate the general public to the various aspects of electronic music. 'I think that there are a lot of things that people take for granted when it comes to electronic music. The 'rave' scene has matured quite a bit since it's conception, and the people who have been there from the start need to step up and educate those who are new to it and thirsty for knowledge. We are the role models for the next generation of our culture and if we want it to thrive, we have to reprezent.'
