Brief Experience :
Gage began mixing drum & bass in the late 90s but then soon moved into UK Garage as the scene emerged around that time. The style of music clearly had the potential to appeal to a wide audience with influences from US garage, R & B and drum & bass, and so it proved as its popularity took off soon after. The quality of the music dipped after a couple of years and Gage diversified into other styles, principally funky house. There is now new life in the UKG scene with some high grade tunes on the scene at the moment, many of which appear in the summer 2006 mix. DJ Gage has played at a number of bars and clubs and private parties round Bath and Bristol, and has been employed as a DJ by Virgin Cola to promote their product at events like the Glastonbury festival and Virgin festival in Chelmsford.
