Levon Louis (a.k.a. Absynthesis) leaves a lasting impression wherever he performs, and is positioned at the forefront of audio production for next generation media. Haling from Houston where he first began recording at age four, Levon has since been acclaimed as 'a driving-force behind the popularity of electronic dance music in Texas...' and nominated for several public music awards including Best Electronica, Best Dance DJ, and Keyboardist of the Year in Americas 4th largest city. Since 1994 this artist has performed across the USA and Canada, turning heads with a highly technical performance style and opening for artists like Richie Hawtin, Juan Atkins, Stacey Pullen, Kimball Collins, Freaky Chakra, Rabbit in the Moon, and The Crystal Method. Lunatex music has been described as an eclectic hybrid of dance-oriented sub-genres and appeals to a diverse audience. Lunatex is also widely respected for keeping in real by avoiding the use of computers or pre-recorded tape devices to deliver a live set. A year-long studio apprenticeship to Oscar/Emmy winner and X-Files sound creator Michael Kimball in 2001 has deepened this artists control and understanding of the overall soundscape, and also helped open the doors to production opportunities in games and film. Levon currently heads up Chakrasound, an audio production firm and his own personal brand / label for next generation sound and music. 'Plans Within Plans', the next full length Lunatex album, is currently in production and scheduled for completion in 2004.
