In 1997 KidGoesting started spinning records in Amsterdam’s first official DJ cafe Vaaghuyzen. For almost 3 years he ran a weekly electro night (with his fellow djs Goodwill and Foreign) under the name of _xerox. In that period this was a fresh and unique sound for Amsterdam, where people were still more interested in “groovy club house”. With the clubs and the underground scene there already was much interest for the eclectic sound of _xerox. In that period they played a mix of italodisco, Detroit technobass, Chicago and hiphop, which they filed under electro. Soon a many, many gigs followed… they played Paradiso, Melkweg, Stalker, Mazzo, Effenaar and a whole lot of clubs in both the Netherlands and abroad.
