The Henry Grattan's Detail |
ATMOSPHERE / AMBIENCE |
Named after the famous Irish Statesman, Henry Grattan was a great advocate of Catholic Emancipation. In 1800, Grattan appeared in the Irish Parliament and made the greatest speech of his career in opposition to the Act of Union which brought about parliamentary union with England. A statue of Henry Grattan can be seen on Dame Street, directly opposite Trinity College. Today, the Henry Grattan is a modern and spacious Dublin pub, serving only the finest in food and drink. With an extensive food and wine menu available daily, The Henry Grattan is also open for breakfast Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 11.30am. Carvery Lunch is also served daily.
