About Monsoons
Perfectly located on Mitchell Street, Monsoons, Darwin’s original cinema building, has been restored and remodeled into an atmosphere of fusion that combines Middle Eastern, oriental and Australian colours, flavours and sounds.
Claiming Darwin's most spacious bar/cafe, Monsoons marks a true return to local bar culture with a classic long bar, a focus on great beer and fresh food and true to our Northern Territory lifestyle, a no fuss - relaxed outdoor seating area.
The 24 meter-long bar is made from African Red granite, and boasts 20 different premium and local beers on tap. There is also a large selection of Australian & New Zealand wines on the beverage list, some not held at any other venue in Darwin, and a unique selection of cocktails.
The menu incorporates fresh and simple produce (much of it local) to create a fusion of Asian flavours with a modern Australian twist.
So - for a big atmosphere, live music, or simply a drink or two, you can't go past the comfortable cool surrounds of Monsoons.
